About ABEOKU安倍奥について

Located between Tokyo and Osaka, Shizuoka City offers views of Mount Fuji
and is a regional city where nature, history, and everyday urban life exist side by side.
Flowing through this land is the Abe River, stretching 51 kilometers in length,
a river that has supported the lives of local communities for centuries.
Carrying clear water from the mountains to the sea,
the river has nurtured not only the natural environment, but also the culture
and daily life of the people who live along it.
We call the middle and upper reaches of the Abe River ABEOKU.
Surrounded by deep mountains, this region has long been home to communities who have lived
in harmony with nature, shaping a way of life passed down through generations.

東京と大阪の間に位置し、富士山を望む、自然・歴史・街が共に息づく静岡市。
この地には、古くから人々の暮らしを支えてきた全長51kmの安倍川が流れています。
山から海へと清らかな水を運ぶこの川は、自然の恵みとともに、文化や人の営みを育んできました。
私たちは、その安倍川の中上流域を「安倍奥（ABEOKU）」と呼んでいます。
深い山々に抱かれたこの地域には、昔から多くの人が暮らし、
自然と寄り添いながら日々の生活を営んできました。

A Village of Samurai Heritage「TAWARAZAWA」武士の末裔の里「俵沢」

The stage for this rural experience is the Tawarazawa area,
nestled deep within the ABEOKU mountains.Around 650 years ago,
Yujima Castle stood watch over this land, and the valley bustled with
samurai traveling through an age of war. A century ago
it was the most vibrant center of the entire ABEOKU region.
Today, Tawarazawa remains a village where descendants of samurai families
still make their home.Here, the timeless landscape of rural Japan lives on—lush nature,
shrines lovingly protected by the community,
and a temple that has long served as both a spiritual refuge and gathering place.
Traditions and culture passed down through generations continue
to breathe quietly through this mountain village.

田舎体験の舞台となるのは、安倍奥に位置する俵沢（たわらざわ）周辺地区です。
約650年前、この地には湯島城が築かれ、戦乱の世には多くの武士たちが行き交う山里でした。
そして約100年前には、安倍奥の中心地として最も栄えた地域でもあります。
俵沢は、今でも武士の末裔たちが生活をしているエリアです。豊かな自然に囲まれた日本の原風景が残り、
地域の人々が大切に守ってきた神社や、心の支えであり交流の場となってきた寺があり、
この土地に根付いた伝統や文化が息づいています。

This is not a place for sightseeing famous landmarks or spectacular views.
There are no amusement facilities and no well-known restaurants.
What you will find here is the simple, authentic life of rural Japan.
Far from the city, you begin to notice new landscapes, deeper connections between people,
and a way of life built on mutual support.

Tawarazawa is about 30 minutes by car from central Shizuoka City.
A taxi or rental car is recommended,
offering scenic countryside views during the journey.

To help revitalize local culture and the regional economy, we host a variety of events
that create opportunities for people to meet and connect.

武家の子孫が運営する会社です。代々家に伝わる文化、生活を大切にしながら、
次世代に伝えていきたいと考えています。また、地域文化、地域経済の活性化を図るため、
